1. General Information Only
The content of this website is published by Gippsland Land, Civil & Forestry Solutions to help you understand our services, equipment and experience, and to help you decide whether to contact us.
It is general in nature. It has not been prepared with any knowledge of your site, your soil, your timber, your access, your drainage, your budget, your timeframe or your regulatory situation. It cannot take any of those into account, and it should not be treated as though it has.
Before acting on anything you read here, please speak with us, and obtain advice appropriate to your own circumstances.
2. No Professional Advice
Nothing on this website constitutes, or should be relied on as:
- engineering or geotechnical advice — including on soil bearing capacity, slope and batter stability, dam design or structural integrity, retaining, pavement design, or drainage design;
- environmental or ecological advice — including on native vegetation, protected species or habitat, erosion and sediment control obligations, waterway or wetland protection, or contamination;
- planning, permit or regulatory advice — including on planning permits, native vegetation removal consents, council requirements, bushfire or CFA obligations, catchment authority approvals, or work health and safety duties;
- surveying advice — including on boundaries, levels, easements or titles;
- legal, taxation, insurance or financial advice of any kind.
Where your project needs that kind of advice, it should come from a suitably qualified and, where applicable, registered or licensed professional engaged for the purpose. We are earthmoving and land management contractors. Where we hold a relevant qualification or accreditation, we will say so expressly and in writing in relation to your project; please do not infer one from the general content of this website.
Any discussion of ground conditions, methods, seasonal timing or regional practice on this website reflects practical field experience. It is not a professional opinion about your site.
3. Site Conditions, Scope And Quotes
Earthworks, clearing and forestry work are highly site-specific. Two properties in the same township can require entirely different plant, method, duration and cost.
Accordingly, nothing on this website is a quote, an estimate, an offer, or a representation about what your project will involve or cost. Any indicative figure or range mentioned anywhere on this website is illustrative only.
Scope, method, programme and price for your project will be determined after we have the information we need, which may include a site inspection, and will be set out in a written quote. That written quote prevails over anything on this website. See also our Terms & Conditions.
4. Approvals, Permits And Landowner Responsibilities
Land clearing, vegetation removal, earthworks, dam construction, works near waterways and works in bushfire-prone areas can all be subject to approvals, permits, exemptions or notification requirements under Victorian and Commonwealth law and under local council planning schemes. These requirements change, and they depend on the land, its zoning and overlays, and the vegetation involved.
Nothing on this website tells you whether a particular approval is required for your project, or whether an exemption applies. The absence of any mention of a permit on this website does not mean one is not needed.
Please establish the approval position for your site — with your council, the relevant authority, or an appropriate adviser — before work is planned or commenced. Where responsibility for obtaining a particular approval sits between us for a specific job is a matter for the written contract for that job, not for this website.
5. Project Examples, Imagery And Capability Statements
The projects, case studies, locations, dimensions and figures shown in the Our Work section are examples of the type of work we carry out. They are included to illustrate capability.
They are not a representation, warranty or guarantee that your project will be comparable in scope, method, programme, cost, finish or outcome. Past performance on one site does not predict the result on another.
Photographs and images on this website are used to illustrate the nature of the work and the working environment. They may not depict a specific completed project, a specific machine in our current fleet, or the condition of any particular site. Descriptions of equipment and fleet reflect capability and may change as plant is acquired, hired, serviced or retired.
6. No Guarantee Of Outcomes
We do not guarantee, through this website, any particular result, yield, pasture recovery, drainage performance, water retention, compliance outcome, approval, timeframe or availability.
Outcomes in this industry depend on factors outside our control, including weather and rainfall, seasonal ground conditions, soil and rock profile, root and timber density, site access, utility and service locations, third-party authority decisions, and the conduct of other contractors on site.
7. External Links And Third-Party Information
Where this website links to or refers to another organisation, a regulator, a council, a standard or an industry body, that reference is for convenience only. We do not control that information, do not warrant its accuracy or currency, and are not responsible for it. Regulatory information in particular should always be confirmed at its official source.
A link does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation in either direction.
8. Your Use Of This Information
You are responsible for deciding whether, and how, to use any information on this website, and for obtaining advice suitable to your own circumstances before acting on it.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any loss, cost, damage or expense arising from reliance on the general content of this website rather than on site-specific advice and a written quote. The limits of our liability, and your rights that cannot be excluded, are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
9. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other law, where that right cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
If any part of this disclaimer would have that effect, it does not apply to that extent, and the remainder continues to apply.
10. Contact
If anything on this website is unclear, or you would like information specific to your site, please get in touch. We would rather answer a question than have you rely on a general web page.
